Volume units convert directly to other volume units, and weight units convert to other weight units. Converting a cup to grams requires an ingredient-specific density and is not a universal conversion.

Spoon and cup sizes can vary by country. This tool uses US teaspoons, tablespoons, cups, fluid ounces, pints, quarts, and gallons.
Important limitation
For baking, weight measurements are usually more repeatable than scooped volume measurements.
