How it works
The tip equals the pre-tip bill multiplied by the selected percentage. The total adds the tip, and the per-person amount divides that total equally among the entered number of people.

Check whether your bill already includes a service charge before adding another tip. Local customs and service expectations vary.
Important limitation
Equal splitting is simplest when everyone shares the bill evenly. For itemized or uneven bills, calculate each person’s subtotal first.
