How it works
Unit price is package price divided by package quantity. The lower unit price is the less expensive option for each unit purchased.
Using the result
Convert both package quantities into the same unit before comparing them. A price per ounce cannot be compared directly with a price per pound.
Important limitation
Consider waste, shelf life, storage, and how much you will actually use before choosing a larger package.
